Fort Collins is at the foothills of the Rockies, has bicycle packed streets and is an underdog college town compared to Boulder.  It is former farming community, but has refurbished historical buildings of Old Town.  Fort Collins has some of the best handcrafted microbrews.  Even though it’s a college town, hosting Colorado State University, it is very child friendly.  If you’re looking for a day out, don’t forget to stop by the bicycle library, where you can rent a bike for free (you must provide a credit card number for damages, etc).
