Morrison is a National Historic District hidden behind the Denver Skyline. The city is really small; however, it’s a great stop to and from Red Rocks Park or if you just want to escape Denver’s busy life. You’ll see plenty of cyclists as the area has tons of smooth pavement and undulating terrain. Additionally, excavations have been in the area since 1877 and has yielded fossils of more than 70 dinosaur species. If you’re not in a hurry, you should visit “Tiny Town”, which is a miniature village containing over 100 1/6 scale buildings and a 15 inch gauge miniature railway.
