Glenwood Springs is perched at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers towards the end of the spectacular Glenwood Canyon.  There are tons of family fun things to do beginning with visiting the gravesite of Doc Holliday, gunfighter, dentist and gambler.  Then you also have an opportunity to visit the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park where the family-oriented destination lumps together several attractions at once beginning with a tram ride that takes you 1300 feet to the top of Iron Mountain. After a long day, you can relax in the thermal hot springs that pump out 3.5 million gallons of mineral water a day and contains two main pools (400 ft long and 100 ft long).  While visiting, ensure you bring pack some walking shoes, strollers, and kid packs as the primary method of traveling is walking due to the close proximity of lodging, attractions, shopping, and eating establishments.  Lastly, if you’re a veteran, always ask for the military discount because the community appreciates your service to our great nation.
