Register Cliff

The cliff is located in the town of Guernsey, WY and rises from the valley of the North Platte River.  The cliffs represent the travelers from the Oregon Trail, where they camped along the bank of the river, etched their names into the sandstone cliff, and pasture their animals.  There was also a trading post adjacent to the cliff, which was later named the Pony Express stop.  This is a great day-trip, but regardless of the weather, ensure you bring a jacket because this particular area is cooler because you’re in the path of 60-mph winds that bounce off the cliffs.
