The Air and Space Museum is located in Chantilly, VA and is considered the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Annex. There are hundreds of historically significant aircraft on display in a restored hanger. Entry into the museum is free; however, visitors pay $15 for parking and it is well worth the price. Inside the museum, there is an Airbus IMAX Theater that sells popcorn, candy and drinks (including beer and wine). The facility is massive, so you should wear comfortable shoes as it takes approximately 3 – 4 hours to view all of the exhibits, including the restoration hanger.
