Washington, D.C.

There is no better way to learn about history other than walking the streets amongst icons. With so many monuments and museums, you could spend an entire trip in the National Mall. It’s easy to lose a full day, as some museums deserve multiple hour visits. To many, the Mall is often referred to as America’s Front Yard, as you can witness citizens protesting on the lawn, go for a scenic run, or connect with the nation’s most cherished ideals.

Even though there is a DC Circulator National Mall bus that stops at numerous locations, wherever you decide to explore, you must be prepared to walk. Eating and drinking options are limited beyond cafes. Due to the weather, it’s best to start early and be inside an air conditioned museum by 10:00a.m. The Mall is accessible 24 ¥hours per day, and the monuments are beautiful at night
