Fort Morgan is a former trading post on the Overland Trail. Thanks to its location on the interstate, there are franchise kid-friendly restaurants. the main attractions of the town include the wildlife sanctuary, museum, and I-76 speedway. The sanctuary is really interesting as it has about 290 large predators that have been rescued from over the world and you can view them by walking a 1.5 skywalk. The museum basically tells the tale of the town, as they have a lot of hands-on exhibits for the children, including an arrowhead collection. If you’re into some local racing, you surely need to visit the speedway as they have numerous divisions competing on Saturday evenings. Additionally, for all the history majors, you must visit the Rainbow Arch Bridge, as it was built in 1923 and is the only bridge of its design in the state. The best thing about Fort Morgan is it’s proximity to the Pawnee National Grassland and Pawnee Buttes.
