Guam is a vacation gem and has something for everyone, whether you are looking for a romantic date, love learning about history, experiencing a variety of culture, fulfill your quest as an adrenaline junky, enjoy nature or simply would like to spend time one of the nine amazing beaches. Nestled on the edge of Tumon Bay is a luxury hotel, The Tsubaki Tower, which has 27 floors with 340 rooms and suites that provide an ocean view. When you insert your key card, the curtains immediately started opening, which unveiled our sizable balcony with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, Tumon Bay, the infinity pool, and look beyond to see swimmers and paddle boarders enjoying the clear blue ocean.
One of my favorite beaches was Asan Beach, which is one of the two primary beaches which U.S. soldiers stormed when trying to recapture Guam from Japanese occupation during World War II. There are a number of World War II memorials, relics, and informational signs scattered around the park for visitors to enjoy. The beach area of Asan Beach Park is lined with coconut trees to provide shade from the tropical sun. If you are looking for an area to snorkel, Guam’s exclusive beaches are off the beaten path and Sharks Cove Beach is worth every minute of the half-mile hike to get there. Beach shoes while visiting Guam is a necessity and snorkel equipment is recommended and are fairly cheap to rent. Additionally, manmade pools do not compare to a natural beauty. If you are searching for rugged beauty and photo appeal, Inarajan Pool has the most intriguing geology. Natural bathing spots surround a public park on the main road that circumnavigates the island.
